I’m a FTM so this is probably a stupid ass questions lmao but here goes. So I’ve been having Braxton Hicks contractions since about 32 weeks (I’m currently 38 weeks today) and I take alot of baths and showers to help ease the cramping... my fiancé asked what if my water breaks while in the bath or shower how would I know? And I’m like ohh shit what if that happens idk. So how would I know if my water breaks during a bath or shower? Would I feel it? What does it feel like? Will I feel pressure or something? Like I’m at a total loss cuz I really don’t know lol 😅 help....

i felt the pop before the fluid came out. and the contractions started soon after. they were also clearly different from BH since they wrapped around my hips.
but having your water break as the first sign baby's coming is relatively rare.

even if you were completely oblivious to the first gush. once your water breaks it keeps leaking.

Never a stupid question!! This is a great questions! I actually do birth certificates at the hospital I work in and like someone said its rare most DRs has to break the water themselves
