Over stretched stretch marks?

I have had these very red and noticable marks on my thighs and hips for months now. I have been told that they are stretch marks but I thought stretch marks turn white after a certain amount of time. Does anyone know what they could be?

I first got mine around 12. I'm nearly 17 and they're only just now starting to fade. that's 5 years. you just have to be patient

They're definitely stretch marks. Stretch marks take a while to fade and in some cases they never do (not to try and scare you) try using some coconut oil or bio oil on them.

Stretch marks, had those on my butt for a while then they eventually turned white after I used coconut oil. My boyfriend has had them all over his butt for months. They’ll fade eventually though

Mine have been deep purple and red for at least 4 years. I haven't been able to wear shorts, skirts, dresses or swimsuits as they are on the backs of my knees and calves. Also present on my hips, bum and thighs.
