my husband ex wife is his 1st cousin. they were together for 10yrs, middle to high school sweethearts. he told me that in their culture, its good, kind of like a blessing to be married into the same fam member. as long as you two arent bros and sis. i find this messed up and it makes me feel uncomfortable w him hanging out or staying the night w his other female cousins. or im just being insecure and overthinking?

if being romantic with 1st cousins is exceptable in his culture, then no he shouldnt be staying the night with any female cousins. because theyre regular women to him, and I wouldnt want my husband staying over at a womens house. Ive actually heard of this before so its not super shocking, it mightve been in a sociology class idk.

I don’t find it all that weird that he married a cousin. We are all related somehow, and it wasn’t his sister. If you feel uncomfortable with him staying with other female family members, have a talk with him and see how he feels about it.
