Where does your newborn sleep?

Where do you have your newborn sleep? I’m conflicted of where she should sleep. I spent our first night home sleeping in the nursery on an air mattress. 
Tell me your story and reasoning!!

We did a side sleeper for the first six months, to make breastfeeding at night easier, then transitioned to the nursery. For this baby we’ll be doing the same. For what it’s worth the official APA recommendation is to sleep in the same room as baby for a year to help prevent SIDS.

We have her in her bassinet but it’s in the living room because it was set up there and it’s connected to her pack n play. So we sleep on the couch

started off with baby on a different room, but moved him in with us about a month in. he was such a noisy breather I couldn't sleep at all! now I can just pick him up and nurse him in bed.

All three of my kids slept with us for at least the first year. It was just so much easier. We plan on doing the same with this new little. We did a combination with co sleeping. Majority of the time, they were in the bed with us. I’ve never understood baby being in a room alone on the other side of the house while very young.

My daughter was in a pack n play in our room for the first 6 months and then we moved her to her crib in her room.

Pack n play in our room until 11 weeks, and at 11 weeks he went into his room

In our room, but in her crib. I like my baby close. She’ll be with us for her first year of life. My son was too (but i learnt from my previous mistakes, i bedshared with him.. and way too long!)
