Gestational Diabetes Diet

Megan

Hey out there. I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and am having a hard time finding the right diet. I am set to meet with the diabetes clinic to talk about a proper diet but their first opening isn't for 3 weeks. I'm hoping some of you have been or are in this situation and could give me some advice.

My doctor said I need to eat around 2,000 calories a day (I'm in my third trimester), not exceed 150-180 carbs a day, and keep my blood sugar between 80-120 at all times.

I've really cut back on the carbs and the sweets, which is soooo hard because, well, IM PREGNANT and crave sweets alllll the time. I also find it hard to feel full now that I've cut the carbs down so much.

So, anyone know of food that will make me feel full while keeping my blood sugar in range? Thanks for any and all suggestions!!
