For those who CHOSE to have 2 under 2, do you ever wish you waited under your toddler was a little older?

Question

I’m considering having two babies under two years old (18-24 months apart). Can any moms with experience tell me if you ever regretted it? Like you just wished you waited until your older one was a little bit older before having another child? I’m not talking about regretting your newborn, just regretting the TIMING. 
I don’t want to be doing a disservice to my toddler by having my attention on a newborn, being extra exhausted, keep reminding the toddler to be quiet when the newborn is sleeping, etc. 
I know once the kids get older they’re usually very close but I’m specifically asking about when you first had your newborn + your toddler. 
Did you ever wish you waited? 
*I’m more curious about moms who experienced this but I included choices for those who haven’t experienced two under two (if you think you should wait....or no, you think it’s fine to split attention between a toddler and newborn).

Nope. My first two boys are 18 months apart. There are a lot of perks. For the record, i now have 3 boys. No problems. 
1) The eldest never remembers being an only child. None of that only child jealousy stuff
2) once you are done with diapers, you are done. No starting and stopping and then starting again (unless you have more kids) 
3) often times they play with the same things and can share. 
4) they are companions and friends and love each other’s company 
5) similar sleep schedules naps/bedtime
6) similar activities; sports and other extra circulars. Even same bath times! It’s easier to do them together 
I would recommend the following 
1) patience. It requires more patience. If you are patient, you’ll be fine. 
2) an awesome double stroller. City elite is my favorite, especially with 3.
3) baby wear. Moby wrap for infants and the ergo for 4+ months. It allows you to hold baby when the newborn is needy AND hands free play and tend to your toddler. Multitasking genius. 
4) I did one size cloth snap diapers. Saved a bundle. They both wore them. They were inexpensive  
The bickering stinks, but they love each other very much. Two peas in a pod. They are completely different but also each other’s first best friends. 3 boys for me. It’s a lot of fun. Good luck

I’ll say this I have a 19 month old and I’m 12 weeks pregnant with #2. My son will be a little over 2 when this one is born. This pregnancy has been 10 fold harder than my son. I was put on partial bed rest and having an active toddler has made it difficult to get through the day most days. I would just caution you to consider all potential experiences during the 2nd pregnancy and weigh if you feel like you’ll have adequate help if needed with your older child.

I technically did chose since I have twins. I'm not sure how 2 under 2 is in terms of having a newborn and a young toddler but I had 2 newborns.... who grew into 2 infants...to 2 crawlers...walkers and now toddlers. I can say I wasn't ready for twins but I am very happy they have each other. they are close and love each other like crazy. They keep each other busy. So as little ready as I was I would do it all over again.

Mom of 4, soon to be 5. My oldest 2 are less than a year a part by 10days. I also have a 1yr old now and I'll have baby #5 in June. So, soon I'll have my second set of 2 under 2. I personally loved it. It was fun and my oldest was such a sweet big brother and helped so much with his brother. They were and are so close. I'm excited to have another set close together again soon. Plus I have the others to help out with things.

Mine are 11mo apart and the best of friends! The first little while was hard but the more you stick to a schedule the easier it gets. I wouldn't change a thing🙂

I currently have a 2 year old son and an 8 month old daughter. They are 19 months apart.  Splitting time/attention has never been an issue, we do most things together and from the moment we found out we were expecting started talking to our son about it. The baby always slept through the noise of her brother, and for the past several months they’ve been on the same eating/nap/bed schedule so it’s been super easy. For us, it wasn’t a difficult adjustment, but our first was a very easy baby and thankfully our second is too. We are also very routine/schedule oriented people and so are our kids, and keeping our son as close to his normal schedule/routine as possible once his sister did get here really helped! It’s a personal choice when to have  a second child, but with 2 parents it’s still possible to have one on one time with your first born!

My oldest 2 (now 13 and 11) are 23 months apart and I was a single mom at the time . At first it was a little rough having a toddler and a newborn, but once I had a routine down and figured out how to manage a crying baby and a toddler running around everywhere it was great! I say go for it ...You can do it!!

My second daughter isn’t born yet but she’s due in May and they’ll be 17 months apart. Pregnancy is a bit difficult when you’re sick and tired with body aches. But so far I still am glad we got pregnant when we did. My husband will be home for the first three months of the newborns life so it will be a gradual adjustment. And my toddler will be starting daycare shortly after. Just because I think it’s a good thing for children to go to daycare for a little bit.

I wouldn’t because I was so sick the whole pregnancy (occasional break with meds) that I couldn’t take care of a toddler while pregnant. He’d have to go to daycare full time and I wouldn’t want him to feel pushed aside
