If my partner gives me oral sex and he has HSV-1 but is not showing a cold sore at the time of oral sex, is it possible that when he goes down on me he can give me oral herpes on my vaginal area?

YES. Obviously having a cold sore present would pose a higher risk but it's hard to tell if someone is asymptomatic. I caught type 1 on my vagina. Sucks... really bad. Worst pain I felt in a long time.

Yup, that’s how I got it. And....From an asymptomatic person who never had one cold sore either or never gave it to anyone else.  Lucky me

yes!!!! you can even spread it to yourself. if you have oral stuff and you spit into your hand to masturbate you will get it vaginally. if you have it and kiss them then they eat you out you will most likely spread it!!
