So I am currently receiving unemployment insurance. I technically don't get paid till Tuesday but ei changed my rate and back paid me for the weeks so I got an unexpected 400 on my account. Now if I tell my husband about it he will want to go spend it this weekend.....I want to wait till I get my check on Tuesday and catch up on some bills. Is this technically hiding money from him? right now he think all we have is 50 till Tuesday. Is this bad.   also he basically gives me all his money. I give him an allowance kind of or it all goes towards gaming and pop or chicken  wings. or computer parts

No because that money should already be spent (allocated) on bills. Ad up what you thing your bill totals will be, then whatever is left over can be weekend spending money, even if it’s only $20

Even if I have 3K in my account, I always act like I have only 100$ in there. I move a lot of money to my saving so I have less access to it, if i need it, it's an easy 3 day transfer and I earn 1.5% on my savings. If the money is in a joint account,  it won't hurt him not to know about it, he has access to it,  if he's curious he can check.

If I were you, I’d tell him and let him know y’all have to save it a few days and catch up on some stuff first.  Then y’all can go get a drink or whatever.  And if he’s not understanding of that then he needs to grow up.  Adulting is hard but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

No just tell him they gave you the back pay when they paid you, unless it has the date they paid you on there. Or tell him now but tell him you didn’t want to spend it till Tuesday
