Our story: DH and I married May 2017 and immediately started trying to conceive since we were both in our mid-30s. Six months of trying to conceive coincided with my 35th birthday and therefore we met criteria for infertility. I did several rounds of blood work and an hsg which were all normal thankfully. DH did two semen analyses which showed abnormal morphology and low-normal motility, but thankfully a normal count. our first appointment with reproductive endocrinologist was this January and he seemed optimistic about our ability to conceive. He gave us the option to either finish out the year trying to conceive naturally, pursue IUI, or proceed to IVF. after some discussion, we elected to do a modified version of IUI. basically I went on birth control pills for a month too cool my system while he went on fertilaid and about 6 different antioxidants spaced out through the day. It's theorized that free radical damage can affect morphology, so just give us all the antioxidants. I came off birth control pills this past Monday and started letrozole yesterday. I will take that days 3 through 7 and then start my ovulation prediction tests on day 10. I have a follow-up ultrasound on day 13 to see how many follicles I have and I may get my trigger shot that date as well. hopefully I will have at least two or three follicles which will effectively double or triple our chances of conceiving this month. We are going to do timed intercourse every other day during that process. Hoping and praying.
