How do I leave my fiance? We live together and have an almost 1 year old. It's become emotionally abusive and he said he isn't willing to go to counseling. I have a friend ready to help me leave this week, and I plan to stay with her for a bit. How can I parent our child together without being emotionally abused? *He is a very good father. I won't let my daughter grow up in a house hold where either parent is abusive though. I need advice please.

It's terribly, terribly hard to have that kind of courage.   If he won't/can't change, AND you can't communicate, you will have to. (I stayed in one way too many years).
-You're not married, so severing all ties is very easy, considering the documentation and finances you take care of you; he takes care of him, and then unfortunately you'll have to negotiate over the child.
(Depends on ur state)
-create yourself a network of women to help you, maybe at the church?
-consider checking out these books maybe they'll help you understand each other and communicate.   These are the PhD psychologists that are quoted to you when you go to counseling.
