Baby’s gender?

Okay so I am 24 weeks pregnant and I’m a ftm. So I’ve been asking my doctor about finding out the gender but he keeps saying that I can’t find out until 32 weeks. Which is really stressing me out! Because he hasn’t even done the 20 week anatomy scan... what can I do? Can I still switch doctors?

The fact that he hasn’t done an anatomy scan is absurd!!! It’s standard practice to do it at 20weeks. That’s when they check if the organs are working as they should etc.

id switch! you defientely should be getting the 20 week anatomy scan to check babies health, it measures all vital organs and babies growth along with indentifing the sex. find a new OB!!

I found out what i was having at 18 weeks! That dr can definitely do an Anatomy scan at this point and the fact you havent got one is absurd!!

Are you in the United States? Just wondering as I’m not familiar with standard practices elsewhere. In the US an anatomy scan should be done relatively close to 20 weeks. The babies bones start to harden after this stage so it can be more difficult to assess their vital organs when getting an ultrasound. I would highly suggest you get a second opinion ASAP. I wish you and your baby the best.

Ermmm yes definitely switch. You’re supposed to have your anatomy scan before 21/ 22 weeks !
