Is your SO stepping up?

We are reaching the baby's two month mark and my SO still isn't stepping up. The first week in the hospital he did amazing and now he does nothing. On his nights off he refuses to watch the baby because he'll "mess up her schedule". When I do bring her out so I can get a few hours of sleep he will let her cry till I get up because he's in the middle of a video game. He's become a child. Is this a first time dad thing? Hoping this changes soon.
