Clothing!!!? 💕💗💕

Question

Ladies who have had babies already! How long were your babies in newborn clothing? A friend told me two weeks and another said over a month. Looking for feedback on whether I should exchange a few items.

My son wore newborn clothes a little over a month and he was 7lbs 5oz when he was born. I actually only bought like two outfits bc I thought newborn clothing was a waste and then he ended up wearing it what seemed like forever so i had to buy more. Unless you think you’re going to have a huge baby I’d get at least a few newborn outfits & onesies.

It really does depend on the size of your baby. I had an 8.1 baby who grew soooo quickly. We used newborn outfits for maybe 2 weeks. I knew going into it that I wouldn’t use newborn clothing long, so I returned almost every NB clothing i was gifted and bought bigger sizes. Luckily My sister in law had given me handmedowns and I relied on a few of those. I was sad she grew sooo quickly, but happy she was healthy :) She’s now 2 and wearing 4T. I just have a tall girl!  Size 3mo-12mo is more helpful, but remember they really do grow quickly so you don’t need A TON of any size.

my daughter was in nb size clothing for around 3-4 months. she is now 11 months old in 6-9 month clothing. so it all depends on how big your baby is when born?

That depends on many things. Some kids grow faster and if you have a bug baby they won't be in newborn long or maybe not at all. Out of 4 kids I think only 2 stayed in newborn clothes for a month or so. I have a friend who had a baby and he never fit newborn. That's why I always tell people take more than one size outfit to the hospital to take baby home it. All newborn clothes don't fit the same and the never know if they will even for at all.

I had a 7.4lb baby and he wore newborn for about a month! I had a good amount of newborn stuff, nothing crazy (we had a boy first so people didn’t go crazy with the clothes) and he wore everything we had.
