large baby?!?!?

yikes! so at my ultrasound today at 34 weeks baby was estimated to be 7pounds 9oz right now!!! she's huge! anyone else have a large baby at 34 weeks? did you end up having a c section? 
doc did say this could be the GD or genetics. my nieces and nephews are all over 9 pounds!

My son is measuring huge too!  8.2 at 35wks.  Now 36 +3.  Still waiting on what the outcome will be.  We all have our fingers crossed he'll come in his own within the next week or so.  Dr. also thinks its partially because of the GD and partially because of genetics.  My husband is 6'7"..    Good luck hun.  You aren't the only one!

Just had a growth scan today. I'm 34 and 4 and baby is in 97% already at an estimated 6lbs and 15oz. I'm having a repeat c section so I'm not that worried. Could be GD or genetics. Told my daughter would be over 10lbs but she came out 8.8lbs.

I had a c section because my daughter was over 10lbs and had a huge head lol. She’s still in the 99%+.  Sometimes it’s necessary!  Good luck!

sometimes they arnt always right with my daughter they said that she was only 6 lbs at my 36 weeks growth ultrasound. So I was happy. got induced  at 38 weeks due to gd, had to get a c section because baby was too big I wouldn't have been able to push her out. she was 9lbs 4 oz. So they were way wrong about her size. don't get too freaked out about what they say her size is.
