Birth control

Alright so A) I need birth control for shed and B) I need it for periods. My periods are extremely heavy (bleeding through multiple pads AND heavy flow pads) and if I’m going to start using tampons I need it to be lighter and for comfort. If I tell my doctor this, will she give me birth control? I know that helps, and I’m hoping if I just tell her about my periods she’ll prescribe me some because I don’t want to mention the sex and I figure it’ll kill two birds with one stone. Only problem is I’m scared I’ll end up getting something other than birth control (if that’s even a thing) and be, well, fucked.
