My mother was 42, my father 43 when they had me! I'm grateful every day for the life experience and wisdom they share with me. When I was younger I was slightly embarrassed that my parents were considerably older than my friends'. I've completely gotten over that feeling, and now feel as though I wouldn't have wanted them to have had me any sooner in their lives. They waited until they could support children financially and emotionally, and I really respect that. The only aspect I regret about it (a morbid thought) is that I'll have less time with them in my life. I love my parents! As long as you're both invested in raising a child you should be fine!
