Baby monitor advice?

Any advice for a first time mom on what type of baby monitor to register for?? Video or just basic...some that sync up to the smart phones...there’s so many brands and options available!

I went for no video because those pictures freak me out. If I want video for some reason I just set up FaceTime on my iPad and call my phone.

We went with video without WiFi so it can’t be hacked. It was definitely worth it because sometimes our daughter will cry out in her sleep or find her pacifier and put herself back to sleep at night. Without the video, I would be walking up and down our stairs a LOT more for no reason.

We have a video one we can also log on on our phones and see. We like it a lot.

We went for basic so it couldn't be hacked. We are just in the next room so not too far to walk to see what's up if we need to do so.
