Asking Nurses for Formula....

Izzie • Mommy of a boy and three girls 👦👧🏻👶🏻👧🏼

I went into labor yesterday and had my beautiful bundle of joy at 10 pm. I have decided to pump and supplement with formula for my own personal reasons. I had it written down in the birth plan and informed the nurses before giving birth.

I have asked the nurses 4 times that I want to pump (I have a breast pump in my room) and would like to get some formula for my baby.

The nurse responded by saying "your baby is your best pump" They keep ignoring my request. I haven't gotten any formula yet or the option to pump and I feel like I'm being judged and ignored.

Don't really know what to do at this point and I'm not going home until tomorrow. 😒

They're doing a terrific job with taking care of me and the baby. I appreciate their help but I want to pump and supplement with formula and I need them to respect my decision.
