the battle of who gets to know

my husband and I may be expecting but we ha'e discussed that there will be a reveal (by discussed I mean I told him and he said ".......") I want them to seal it in an envelope and deliver it to my friend and have her as the only one who knows because she I going to plan it, my husband drew the line at that and insists that he will know. I told him I want us to be surprised together and if he knows I will force it out of him. what do u guys think? surprise is better for both or he and my bestie both know (and by extension his family because his mom will force it out of him and then she will tell me) I would want the reveal like a week after the appointment
