Asking for advice, it is a little TMI

A little TMI but I need some advice. Today after using the restroom I noticed my discharge had a little blood in it. I haven’t had any blood since and am keeping a close eye on any progress if it turns into me having my period or just stops. I was on birth control but forgot it when I went to visit my man March 13-20. I did end up getting my period while seeing him but, well, that didn’t stop anything from happening if ya know what I mean... I am having cramps and bloating/gassy like if I were getting my period but it was just weird to have a small amount of blood in my discharge. Should I keep an eye on it and wait or should I try taking a test..?
