Can you just use the test strip put of a drip store bought test?

Can you open the actual test, take the test strip out, and just dip that in urine?

Answer

Yes. All test including digital use a standard test strip. Problem being with taking them apart, is that you lose the control line to the test line and could be misread. 
A positive result is a positive result, a negative result is a negative result. REGARDLESS OF TEST BEING OPENED.
