Yeast infection???

Question

I’ve been itchy a bit down there but only after I pleasure myself, but still it’s not painful or anything. And it’s not inside of me, just a bit on the outside? Could it maybe be a sign that I just need to trim down there?

It might be a slight yeast infection (more likely) or it could be a pH imbalance. This is really a question that should be asked in a doctor office or medical forum. But anyway, what I do when I get that feeling you’re describing is the following few things:
1) Cut alcohol and sugar intake [almost] completely. These things feed yeast. 
2) Take live probiotic capsules daily (when I can afford it - these can be pricey)
3) Now this one sounds weird, but it really helps: get a cup of plain Greek yogurt and use your fingers or a tampon to put about a teaspoon full of it inside your vagina. I know it sounds gross, but it feels soooo good and soothing, and the healthy bacteria fight off yeast. Feel free to google this practice for more info. 
If it becomes a fully fledged yeast infection, then definitely see your doctor to verify there isn’t anything else wrong (trust me, one time I thought I just had a yeast infection but it was actually a somewhat uncommon STI called trichomoniasis). Monistat and similar products are pretty good if you’re not allergic, or a doctor could prescribe an oral antifungal medication.
