inspiration.?

Question

how hard was it for y’all to change for the better after a relationship. what did y’all do to take steps forward to become better, to become of a higher mindset? i know it’s going to be a journey to get where i want to be and i know i can do it, but sometimes you need a little bit of inspiration from people who will be brutally honest with each other.

I took a step back and focused on things I enjoyed or gave up when I was in a toxic relationship.. family and friends. and good food and cruising.. working harder to get results on anything I tried. learned yoga.. did my makeup to feel.good.. had a girls night and even got a new outfit and manicure.. just listened to music and opened myself up after seven years of an abusive marriage I felt better than ever and I met my soul mate. that's my story. just don't dwell on why you feel lousy.. just do hat you can to make yourself better xoxo

Answer

Take that energy you used on that relationship and turn it to you.  I got out of a bad/long relationship that left me broken.  Honestly every day is better, and I appreciate my life more each day. Even the worst days are better than being with him. And I try to remind myself of that.
Also, once a week I take treat myself. Dinner and a movie, learn something new and fun that I’ve always wanted to. Sometimes I sit on my couch without pants and watch the office for the 176th time. Whatever it is, step back and take time for you. Start dating you. It’s sort of the best thing I’ve done :) good luck, queen ❤️
