I’m still tender every time at first at 5.5 months out but with a lot of lube it feels good once we get going. I also had several second degree tears.

I had to have surgery to correct my tear stitches. They didn’t heal right and it was painful every time. If something doesn’t feel right let your OB know.

Honestly? The first 15 to 30 seconds are always a bit rough. I'm tighter now and it's hyper sensitive now. After that, I'm good to go.

I had a 7lb 6oz baby with minor labial tears, and when I had sex at 4 weeks PP it was awful. Painful and felt really strange. Now I’m 15 weeks PP and it feels good again, I’m more sore afterwards than I was pre-baby. Everyone is different though, so use lube and take it slow. 🙂

After my first baby it took about 5 months, just in time for me to get pregnant again 🙈 I had a lot of tearing, but with careful care and an attentive OB I healed. After my second baby, I was wanting sex much earlier and had no issues after 2 months. Every labor/delivery/body/recovery is different, so just give yourself time and don't feel pressured.

I was able to enjoy it for about 10 minutes right away. But after that it started to get uncomfortable. Although I will say the postpartum orgasms were incredible. I would say probably around 3-4 months it felt pretty much normal. My son is now a year old and I still have some discomfort when wearing tampons throughout my period.

I also had complications and pain that required surgery to fix at 6 months PP. I then needed some estrogen and other creams to help with healing and I was finally pain free around 8 months. It's been 1 year and I'm feeling great! Time is your friend and it's okay to ask your Dr if you think you need some help.
