Baby shower confusion

I am due July 3rd. My boyfriend's sisters found out about my pregnancy very early on and both immediately talked about wanting to have a baby shower. It is now getting close to the time to have one and no further mention has been made.

My cousin and friend have talked about wanting to throw one and my mom also said she'd put one together for me. But I don't want to step on his sisters toes!

I finally broke down and text messaged one of his sisters yesterday asking if she wanted to help my mom plan it or had any plans of her own.... and no response.

At this point should I just let my family plan it and just invite his family? I feel bad leaving them out of planning but I don't think it's proper etiquette for me to bothering them about it instead of them coming to me, right?

Any advice would be appreciated.
