Bc pills to "jumpstart" period?

Has anyone else taken birth control pills after stopping depo to make af come back? & if so how long did you wait ??

I took the pill after implanon because I hadn't had a period for 5 years... I took them for 3 months last pill on dec 15 af on dec18 positive test on jab 16... Unfortunately it ended in miscarriage at 16 weeks though

So I was due to get another depo shot in June 2014 as my husband and I wanted to try and conceive. Unfortunately with the shot I had no periods and it took until Sept. 2014 for me to even get a period. I became worried after that long span but From that point on, I've had a period every other week. One week on and one week off. Horrible!! Well as time progressed the bleeding, cramping, fatigue, and miserableness got worse and I asked my doc for help. He said it could take 6-12 months for my period to return to normal and up to 18 months for me to conceive again. I was given a hormone to help regulate my period (10 days worth). Feb 2015 I managed to go about three weeks without a period. I would say since April 2015 my boobs began to hurt a week before I was due to come on which signaled to me that it was almost back to normal. My husband and I have stopped trying to conceive momentarily to free our minds as this has been frustrating to say the least. But we will be back at it starting next month as my cycle is back to normal. We want a spring-summer baby. I was a little disappointed in my doc for not telling me that I should have stopped bc sooner or asking me if I planned to have another child. But I'm fully aware now!
