PCOS?...

My husband and I have been TTC for 6 months now. Last month I experienced bleeding for 30 days. My usual cycle is 32 days plus 5 days of menstruation. I went in for bloodwork and an internal scan. I was told I never ovulated (as indicated by low progesterone) and that my scan indicated a suspicion of PCOS . the dr said I didn't have any cysts present but a lot of tiny follicles. Anyone else been told this ? I don't have any other symptoms meaning I am not overweight, insulin dependent, or have any darkening of skin... I could use some opinions. My husband and I are debatin starting infertility treatments next month.

I have the same thing - not terribly irregular cycles but longer 33-42 days. Because I have endometriosis I went in at 6 months of ttc. Was confirmed im not ovulating on my own. And dr suspects pcos. My ovaries do not have cysts and he said I had a normal, healthy number of follicles. I also am thin, no facial hair, no diabetes, no hypertension. Completely healthy. He said pcos has become a broad term used to define irregular or long cycles and lack of ovulation. We started Letrozole the next cycle and it made me ovulate on day 14. Had a 26 day cycle that time. On round #2 now

I also suffer from pcos and like you do not have any other symptoms, just the cysts. We had a baby boy last year (naturally) but before I conceived I discussed taking clomid with my OB who said it would bring on ovulation. We have been ttc baby #2 for 6 months now. I had an appointment with my OB last week and it was confirmed that I did ovulate this month. I'm now in the 2ww stage, but I am experiencing pms symptoms, so I think we have been unsuccessful :( I keep a very close eye on my cycles (Bbt, OPK) hopefully it will happen naturally again, but if I do not ovulate again next month I will be looking into taking the clomid. Question ladies, did you go to your regular dr to verify you had PCOS and discuss infertility or did you go to an o.b.?  I had pain and swelling in my right ovary last January.  My dr did an ultasound verified i had some cysts and basically brushed me off.  The pain continued and I went to my o.b. who had me do birth control to regulate my cycle and get rid of the cysts.  It worked but she suspected I had PCOS.  This year in January I started having ovary pain again so I am calling on Monday to set an appointment.  What type of testing should I expect?  We have been TTC baby number two for a year now.
