Kik app

I know that messages get deleted upon signing out, but logged in today to find that every conversation had been deleted? Do they have to be physically deleted to disappear or is it a glitch?

Edit* I know about messages. But usually the person you had messages with are usually still there too. Except everything was gone. Like starting over. Don’t conversations have to be deleted?
