Do you close your eyes at the dentist

I never know  what to do, keep my eyes closed and sit there or have my eyes open and look at the ceiling. I don’t want i to make the dentist uncomfortable but what do you do?

I've fallen asleep when i first got my braces put in and when I went for tightenings. 🤷 it was relaxing

there’s tvs on the ceiling for each chair at my old dentist (children’s dental world😂) so i would watch the kids shows all the time.  at my dentist now there’s a window above each seat so i just look at the sky or i close my eyes if they give me sunglasses
