Do men really adjust slower?

I'm a ftm, & both my SO and I wanted a girl. We got our results today and baby is a boy, and completely healthy! I cried because I was so happy, not just because he's a boy but he's healthy! When I told my SO, he was disappointed, has had an attitude all day, and hasn't really said anything all day.. Do you ladies think men adjust slower than us mama's? I'm kind of upset because he's disappointed..

I asked my husband and he said he thinks men adjust slower. Change is hard, disappointment takes a long time to get over. I can see it. Women are more flexible I think. We bounce back quicker.

I wouldn’t look too much into it. Guys tend to want boys first (not all) so they get disappointed and extremely happy. It doesn’t mean he won’t love your little girl. He just knows what he’s in for lol he is powerless with a daughter. My husband knows this little girl can just look at him and he will cave.
My husband was disappointed too and I was laughing at the results lol he was completely fine the next day. He’s happy but still has his “oh crap” moments lol
