Taking your babe swimming?

My sons 4 months now and I want to start taking him to a pool 
Any opinions on when you mommas plan on introducing swimming pools?

we've been at four months and she was fine, just a bit stunned. We stayed in for about thirty minutes and that was a bit much for her. Getting her out was the hard part she was not enjoying at that point. If you do go if recommend bringing someone along as a helper the first time. A dry person to feed and dry them straight away after getting out of the water. Another plus was my girl slept like a rock that night!

Our gym has a heated leisure pool so I might take him there a little early, but if it’s a cooler pool I’ll probably wait til 6 months. Then we are doing a parent-child swim class. ☺️
I’ll probably give him a very thorough bath afterwards and use lots of baby lotion too because I’m very sensitive to chlorine so he might be too. Either way it can’t hurt. (: He loves baths so I’m so excited to take him swimming!

They recommend waiting three months. So the way I see it, you’re in the clear!

I've taken my son to the beach already. We didn't get in the water because it was too windy.
 I think a pool would be fine on a hot day, or if the water's not too cold. We've had a few days here where I filled the sink with cool water, and put my lo's feet in to help cool him off.
