Do ultrasound techs normally do this

I’m 20 weeks 1 day & today was the anatomy scan. 
When my ultrasound tech couldn’t get a good view of our daughter she started beating my stomach with the wand, then her hand. It hurt really bad & i asked her to stop.
Is this normal procedure? Lol

Like, literally beating you? Taking the wand, and hitting you with it in the stomach? Because no, that is not normal. And should be reported.

She was probably trying to get the baby to move so she could get the ultrasound shots they needed. My first US at 13 weeks the US lady was literally pushing the wand hella hard on my belly, had me change positions etc - whatever she had to do to get my stubborn baby to move!

Omg 😂 I’m sorry I couldn’t help but laugh 🤭 ive never heard of such a thing! Applying pressure is one thing but slapping your belly isn’t cool!
