My first period...

When I got my first period I went into the bathroom, I realized I got it at school. (That was bad, I wasn’t prepared AT ALL.) As I was panicking in the bathroom stall I started crying literally, so I became rather stressed. I went to the nurse to call home, as my mother said when I get it to call her. The nurse gave me a pad, showed me how to use it and I was like, what, the, heck, is this? She left the bathroom, I closed the door and tried to put on the pad. I didn’t know how to correcting position is in my underwear. I put it in the middle and stood up. Started pacing around the bathroom and I got severely uncomfortable. I started crying and got relatively moody, I ripped it off, rolled it up into a ball, and threw it in the corner. I was stressed out if my mind. As I tried to compose myself of what was happening I had a mental breakdown. I composed myself, forgot about the fact that I had just gotten my period. I put the pad in my underwear stood up, and started wiggling uncomfortably, is was firm and I got very annoyed. I couldn’t stand it. I walked out of the nurse’s office, got my stuff (I was getting picked up). Went back, this was all with the pad on my underwear. Though I was complete uncomfortable I realized I was growing up and had become a woman in a matter of minutes, though getting your first period is rather uncomfortable here are a few tips and pointers.

Tip: try not to cry and compose yourself, congratulations to you have successfully become a woman.

Tip: don’t panic! This happens to every girl, if you’re at school and this happens try telling the nurse or a trusted adult.

Pointer: As we know pads are severely uncomfortable, but you’re just getting used to the feel of it.

Pointer: Hint your mom or dad for a present for getting your first period. As this is the beginning of your adventure of womanhood!
