Corrupt District Attorney. ⚠️ Sexual assault

I’ve been waiting to make a post about this since I was barely sleeping for 2 hours a night but last night my baby let me sleep for 6 hours! 😍

Anywho, our local DA has been accused of some bad things. I’m not sure if anyone heard of him before, but he was pretty famous for prosecuting a 14 year old boy for taking a picture while humping a Jesus statue. Basically ruining the rest of this kids childhood. I knew him very well and he’s still in juvie. 😞 he’s now making the headlines again, being accused of having sex with female drug dealers for lighter sentences, tipping them off on who confidential informants are, telling probation officers not to violate them. A whole bunch of stuff.

So my friends and I were talking about Mr Higgins and his defense. His lawyer said “how can you believe these drugged out women over mister Higgins?” My personal thoughts are that THATS WHY he targeted them. They don’t seem to think so. They think there’s no way he did this and that as his lawyer also said, the state police are just out to get him. 🙄 mind you, he also was caught having an affair in his office back in 08 which later turned to rape charges that magically disappeared.

So my question is, do you think that elected officials or at least this one in particular take advantage of women using their power? Or is this just some scheme to get him out of office? Also if he is proven guilty, shouldn’t he be accused of sexual assault? There’s no way this isn’t coercion.

Bonus question: it almost seems like any POC that has entered our county has been arrested for drug dealing. They always get the harshest sentence possible. Does this show direct racism from him or is it just because they aren’t women that he doesn’t want to have sex with? I think you know where I stand on that. 👀
