Nipple piercings while pregnant?

Hubby and I are currently ttc baby #1. A friend of mine mentioned I would have to take them out as soon as I got pregnant because it cause a lot of irritation or become infection due to increased blood flow, sensitivity, ect. Anyone have any experience with this?!

I kept mine in my whole pregnancy with no issues but took them out after my daughter was born cuz I breastfed. But when she was 2 months we switched to the bottle n put them right back in. No issues

You don't have to take them out. I took mine out before ttc because mine have always been sensitive and the piercings made them worse. As bad as my nipples hurt first and part if second trimester I couldn't imagine having them in. I also want to try to breastfeed and I knew I didn't want to deal with putting them back in each time.  So it's totally your decision on what you want to do with them.

I took mine out only because my boobs and nipples were so sensitive that they hurt to have them in.
