On 3-7-18 I found out I was expecting after a chemical pregnancy in January. 5 days later I started spotting lightly for a few days, ob said it was most likely normal. The spotting ended up turning into heavy bleeding for a couple days with no cramping, I went to the e.r and my blood tests looked good, had an ultrasound and we saw the sac at 5 weeks, I had a bacterial infection to I was given antibiotics. I also when in for multiple blood draws to keep an eye on my levels ( they were higher every time) The spotting then went to brown but then a week later I had more heavy bleeding for less than 24hrs, back to the e.r I went. They took more blood and another pelvic exam. Everything was fine. My ob office got me in the following week for another ultrasound. I was supposed to be 7w 1d, but baby measured 6w 1d but there was indeed a heart beat to small to hear or measure the rate. They also discovered I had a chorionic hemorrhage (that’s what cause the bleeding). They had me come in the following week (yesterday) to make sure baby was still growing and to measure the heart rate. With in minutes I could tell nothing looked any different for last week, the nurse then measured baby and the same dreaded 6w 1d appeared and there was no heart beat. She zoomed in and did multiple things to try and find it. She even tried to do a measuring and there was nothing but a flat line. The baby past away the same day we saw the heartbeat. I had a d & c this morning and i am so grateful for the wonder care I received at the hospital. I know we can try right away and have a good chance at a healthy pregnancy but my fiancé and I have decided to take a year, let ourselves heal, plan our wedding and try again next April. It’s going to be a long year but I am beautiful and I am strong and I know the heart ache will pass eventually and I will be anxiously awaiting for my sweet rainbow from God 🌈
