did you have a pleasant experience on the depo shot?

Question

First off, I'm already on the implant (2 years so far) and I absolutely love it. I'm not thinking about getting the shot.. like ever. This mostly has to do with how many women I've heard and personally know say so many terrible things about it.
Regardless what kind of experience you had, please comment below!

I liked being on Depo other than it did mess with my emotions quite a bit. Other than that I didn’t have issues with it. I just got the arm implant on Wednesday so I’m hoping it’ll be a good experience. I wanted something long term so I’m hoping this is a good choice.

Had a 6 month long period. Depo should be a last resort birth control because you can't stop it immediately if there are adverse reactions, like you can with every other method.

I’ve been on the shot for just over a year now and I’m happy with it. I don’t get periods and I just have to book an appointment every 3 months.
No side affects at all. I would definitely recommend it.

My doctor doesn't recommend it. My sister had this and became very very sick from it. Turns out she was allergic. Be careful!
