Should menstrual products be mandatory in the workplace?

Gabi inspired this, at work, toilet paper is essentially free therefore should basic sanitary items be in offices?

At my old job, tampons and pads were placed in every cubicle to ensure if anyone had an “ooops” moment they were covered. At my new job, I brought in a box containing them as we have 2 toilets and I didn’t want to carry my handbag to the toilet each time. I sent an email round to explain it was mine and that if anyone needed anything to feel free to use it. However I expect people to replace what they use or put money into a pot.
