there is hope, bipolar disorder

Emily • Momma to Miss Emma!

I was diagnosed as bipolar and medicated last Feb (2017)... Back in December I made some life changes and I dropped 35 pounds, gave up gluten which meant I no longer had migraines and my eczema was gone and I no longer needed medication for either, I exercise 5 to 6 days a week, and I joined some online support groups to help with ideas to manage my anxiety with my workload as a director of rehabilitation. I saw my psychiatrist to talk about meds since I'm now TTC and he told me I've been doing so well for multiple months without a relapse and he took me off of my meds completely. He looked at me and said "You're one of the only patients I have ever felt comfortable with taking off meds because I know you're working hard to do everything on your part to improve your health." It made me so happy. Been off meds for a month now with no sign of swings or relapse and I am so SO happy!!!
