What is the appropriate reaction to your daughter asking to be put on birth control?
Would you be calm about it? Be angry? Tell her yes? No?
This post is inspired by something that happened last night. I was staying at my boyfriend’s house (I forgot my house key at home and my mom was gone on a business trip so I couldn’t get in my house) so I texted her to ask about birth control (I’m 17). My boyfriend read her response and said that she was way too calm about it and that he would never be that calm.

So, would you consider this to be too lenient, or is it a good thing that we’re close enough to discuss it without fighting?
What would your response to your daughter be if she asked you for birth control? Can a lenient reaction make you a bad parent?
