Help/switching bc pills

So i switched pills right when i started a new pack. it has the same ratio/dosage (1/20) than the old one but my period has not come yet? i had unprotected sex and then a week & a half later I doubled up because i didnt have the rx right away so i skipped a day. I don’t really have a reason to be nervous since it had been a week & a half since unprotected sex but I’m still unsure of this whole thing. My period is now about a week late but I can’t tell why. I get slight period symptoms but nothing drastic. But my question is if i changed to a different kind of pill would my period be effected? Any comments would be appreciated. I have not found any answers online if switching bc pills changes your period cycle
