Is it bad to tell my boss I am pregnant over the email?

I work partly from home partly in the office. My boss doesn’t come to office on the days I am in the office. So I almost never see her. Can I tell her over the email?

I work 100% from home in a different country from my boss.  I am doing it over phone not email.

Can you call her or send her an email saying you’d like to talk to her about something?

I guess it depends on the circumstances. If your boss is in work regularly or not. If not and it’s a bit difficult to schedule a meeting then by email would do but otherwise in person is best.

I texted mine while she was out on medical leave, but I would have told her in person if i could have.
