Non-DEET bug spray?

Question

Hi! Headed to Texas (aka land of the mosquitoes) for my baby shower in June. I know that DEET is technically labeled as ok during pregnancy, but it DOES cross the placenta and I’d like to avoid it. However, I’d also like to avoid Zika 😂, so I need a bug repellant that WORKS. 
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Texas local ❤️💙 I bought the Off Deep Woods unscented towelettes and keep a few in my purse. No mosquitos yet but I’m sure they are coming soon!

I live in Florida, and mosquitos love me, I don’t really use repellent anymore (I should tho) but I have both ... deet and non deet. They are both“OFF” BRAND. The active ingredient on the other one is PICARIDIN ... my doctor is the one that told me about it. Good luck

My OB said they’d rather me use bug spray with deet than catch something like Zika or west nile, etc.!

Where are you headed in Texas?? 
I’m not sure Zika is a concern there so much, at least anymore. 
Regardless, I grew up there and the mosquitos are awful!! I hope whatever you use is effective. I hear being pregnant makes you extra tasty!

I live in south Texas I’m an hour from the water and so far where I am we haven’t had problems with mosquitoes. I can’t vouch for other cities.
