Help please! What is this?

I have had cramping pains on and off all day today in my stomach and in my lower back. There is no rhyme or reason just constant pain all day. I never had this with my first. What is this pain and how do I make it stop?

I was told that it's just some "uterine activity" which is apparently a good sign. I read that it's a sign of effacement. Just keep yourself hydrated and rest.

Try to relax and make sure you’re getting enough water. I’ve had cramping the last few days as well!

It’s the relaxin hormone preparing your ligaments and muscles for childbirth! I had some reeeeeally bad pains last Tuesday evening from overdoing it that day. Take a nice warm bath and relax!
