I don’t know much about what Australia has to offer but I can offer a little insight into Japan. During that timeframe, Japan will be cold and probably snowy. They are preparing to host the olympics so there are a lot more English signs and announcements (on the trains) than there has been in the past, making getting around a lot easier if you don’t speak Japanese. Lots of people. Lots of culture. Lots of beautiful nature. They have lots of little islands around them that they do tours to, old temples, 2 Disneyland’s, and more:) hope you have a great vacation wherever you decide to go!
