May baby becoming an April!

Update again at bottom

Due May 18th. Water started leaking at 3 am. Went potty thinking I was peeing. Except it didn’t stop I kept having fluid leak. Decided to wait until my appointment at 8:15 this morning and they confirmed it’s my waters. Just checked in and waiting to get settled in a room! Wish me luck!

So there’s a lot going on right now. Baby girl was born at 12:39 am April 26th. She was rushed to the NICU for breathing issues and possible infection. They didn’t start antibiotics until 1:30 pm. They were thinking she may need a breathing tube but for now she’s still only on a Cpap. Still waiting for doctors to come talk to us. But we were told she is stable for now. Feeling a little sad because I didn’t even get to touch her. My husband did manage to get a couple pictures of her while they were getting her ready to be put in the incubator. Kinda jealous because he got to touch her head. Will update when I can. But for now here’s a picture my husband got of her

Finally am going to be able to see her again in a little bit. Got to see her for about 15 minutes at 5:30am. Here’s the picture we took earlier.

So she’s off of cpap! Just waiting on her 48 hour cultures to see if she has an infection. On the plus side I have been allowed to start feeds. Have to be sure I’m here every 3 hours. It’s so hard to leave her to nap and eat, especially when she’s awake. Here’s a new picture!
