Weekly checks

Has anyone every been check for dilation before 36 weeks? I’m 35 and 3 and go for weekly NST’s. I have one schedule for today and have been getting more contractions than usual today and they are definitely more painful. They are even in my back and are occurring when I’m just sitting down (usually I get Braxton Hicks like crazy when I’m up bc I’m always on the go). I plan to tell my dr, but I was just curious if she might end up checking me today since I’m having these. Thanks!
