Last names

Anyone unmarried and not planning on giving your baby his/her dad's last name? My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 1/2 years, we have been talking for months about getting married either in this fall or during an already-planned Vegas trip. Although unplanned, we are both excited for this baby but since the news of the pregnancy came he has decided he wants to now wait until next year after the baby is born to get married. I think it's completely ridiculous to wait, it's going to be more stressful to plan a wedding with a newborn and our money is not going to be the same but all that is besides the point, I told him if we don't get married before the baby then he can still be on the birth certificate but I don't plan on giving the baby his last name- Am I completely crazy for not wanting my child to have a different last name than me?
