Is he complimenting me?

So me and my crush were texting a lot last night and then it got late so he said goodnight( with an exclamation mark which is unusual for him.) then I said goodnight. I wake up the next morning and apperently like 30 mins later he had texted " you know i think you look really good in jeans but it's probably because you stole my style." Wtf? I mean that's just a weird way to compliment someone so can you ladies help me out here does he like me or is he just a weirdo???
