Help! Is my TSH normal?

I got my blood work results this morning. This is the first time I’m actually checking my results on line. There’s so many info about what TSH is good and what’s not. I’m lost! My TSH is 1.58. I’ve been taking Synthroid (low dosage .25mg) since mid February. I was hoping that taking Synthroid would eventually level my hormones. Maybe I’ll need a stronger dosage? I’ve been TTC for a year now and all I want is one child!! 😢 I’m trying to be positive and patient but we all know how hard TTC can be. So is my TSH 1.58 normal?!?

Completely normal. You want it as close to 1 as possible. The range is .03 to 3.0 I believe.

I believe that is normal, close to hyper I think. Mine was around 2.5 when I got pregnant. As soon as you get a positive test or think your pregnant make sure the ly check it again and adjust dose. Mine shot up to 5 the day after my test came positive and I could feel all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. It was how I was sure even though pregnancy tests were saying no. 2 weeks after that they confirmed via ultrasound that I was 5 weeks along. So it can start to mess your thyroid up right away. Good luck. Talk to your sr to make sure that is a good level too. I think I read that they prefer you to be running a little hyper when trying to conceive.

It's within the reference range... So it's normal

It’s within range. For fertility it should be between 1 and 2. I was on 75mcg and got a BFP when my TSH was 0.8. So the fact that it’s down with such a little dosage is awesome! Good luck!
